My Word of the Year: CURATE
I am a little delayed in selecting my word of the year for 2026. I've had the feeling for a while but couldn't come up with a name for it. Then I saw my friend share that her word for the year was “curate”, and like most of her ideas, it really landed for me.
My word for this year is curate. I already have some momentum with this, but I want to continue to aggressively curate the energy happening inside my body and the environments I am in.
I am going to curate what is happening inside my body by continuing to develop and adhere to optimal habits. I'm going to prioritize sleep, diet, exercise, and meditation/prayer so that I get as close as possible to having the most optimal version of me showing up every day.
By doing these things well, I will prioritize being kind to the future version of myself over being nice to the present version of myself.
The Best Person to Get Advice From
The best person to get advice from is not a coach, speaker, or me, it's you!
Rather, the best, most optimized version of you.
The problem for most people is that they are a far cry from their best selves. Many people are tired, stressed, anxious, and filled with brain fog, and they are trying to make choices for their lives, their businesses, and their key relationships from this state. If you can relate, I'll suggest that the current version of you is not the most qualified to make important decisions, and your number one priority should be to work to get as close to the best version of yourself as soon as possible.
Forget Your Goals. Minimize Your Regrets.
I’d like to invite you to pause and think about any regrets you may have from this past year and any potential regrets you may have a year from now if you continue on with business as usual. Instead of focusing on small goals, I want to challenge you to aim for significantly better outcomes in the important areas of your life.
